The Site of Springfield Road Residences is rectangular in shape with gentle slope towards North-East. This slope facilitates the receptivity of morning Sunlight from East. The Site had mature vegetation and most of it was retained to create a natural wooded look.

Two homes of 3600 sq. ft. each were planned according to the ancient Vedic Principles of design and are designed to suite the lifestyle of a young busy family.

The living areas, guest areas and worship areas were placed along the North wall with large openings to receive ambient daylight and no direct glare. The bedrooms and bathrooms were placed along the South wall with limited glazing to receive Sun in Winter. The Living space is centrally located with double height and lights. The overall zoning of rooms allows natural daylight in every room throughout the day creating an extremely pleasant indoor atmosphere.

The materials used throughout the house are natural such as limestone, bamboo floors, quartzite counter-tops and brick and align with the design philosophy of the house.
